Timber
There are several essences of wood for ecological and natural glasses. DUMU wood or "Du Lei" is light in color (between beige and light gray), and comes from subtropical regions such as India or Southeast Asia. DUMU is known for being a resistant material, lighter than acetate and at the same time very uniform in color.
It is also recognized for its light aroma. Bamboo wood usually comes from Southeast Asia, and we can find it in natural or dyed colors.
Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants in the world and is harvested only when the stems reach their greatest strength and are mature. This ensures that the crop will not have any impact on other species that depend on bamboo for food.
Ebony wood is black, hard and dense. It is so heavy that it sinks in water. However, it has a very fine texture and when polished it is very very smooth. Sometimes we can find it with white stripes.
Zebra wood or Zebrawood, as its name indicates, is striped. It is usually a pale golden-yellow color and has regular or irregular dark brown or black streaks. It comes mainly from Central Africa. What is polarization?:
